Located approximately 12 miles north of Cardiff, Pontypridd is the principal town in Rhondda Cynon Taf, benefitting from excellent transport connections via the A470 and frequent rail services to Cardiff and the South Wales network. Pontypridd has benefitted from significant regeneration and investment in recent years which has enhanced its role as a vibrant and well connected destination for business, leisure and community activity.

On behalf of Rhondda Cynon Taf we are instructed to market two small commercial   kiosk opportunities to support food and drink uses, which occupy a prime position within the town centre, forming part of the redevelopment of the former Marks & Spencer site – providing a high-quality riverside public space, with kiosk units designed to benefit from strong footfall and enhanced links between the High Street, transport hub and the River Taff.

As part of Pontypridd’s Placemaking Plan, the Council acquired the buildings previously occupied by Marks & Spencer, Dorothy Perkins and Burton, and
undertook demolition works as part of a wider regeneration programme aimed at revitalising the town centre. The site has now been redeveloped to deliver a high-quality public realm and riverside plaza, opening up the townscape towards the River Taff and creating an attractive and vibrant setting.

The kiosks will be available from Summer 2026 and interested parties are invited to submit rental offers through an Informal Tender Process by no later than 12 Noon on Thursday 6th August.
